Haha, not all those earrings are real Josh, you know, the Cubic Zarconian, I cannot wait till that fade passes on, I feel ya though, I have seen racism it on both sides of the tracks and I mean from blacks and whites. I dont know if you remember those fights up in HighSchool at Lakota with Keith Smith and Malone, But anyway, I liked that story, I can relate to them. You know, dont think your the only one who gets looked down on becuase they dont have a cubic zarconian earring in their ear or they arent dressed like a thug. Man, we are getting.
Akile, if you were going to say we are getting old, I feel you. I don't miss being too young and dumb but sometimes I do. I guess I was trying to hit a loss of innocence with this one because I do remember a time not knowing there was a difference between people because of their color. I've of course since come to learn that these differences are culturally imposed and agreed upon and harm and waste energy far more than they help establish any kind of social order. I always prefer to deal with people as individuals and I've met some real bungholes on both sides of the color chart. I made it a point back in college to smoke weed with people of all colors, creeds, and social beliefs and I came out the better man for it.
And I had totally forgotten about the Keith Smith/Malone fights--what ever happened to Keef? That dude was hilarious.

Thanks for reading. As someone who grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, it really took me back to many similar experiences (sans the head-shaving).
